With over 1400 student branches in educational institutes worldwide, the GUC-IEEE Student Branch is one of the most recently established branches among a total of 15 in Egypt. A student branch gives students the opportunity to meet and learn from fellow students, as well as faculty members and professionals in the field.

A good IEEE student branch can be one of the most positive elements in an Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology department. Student branch activities offer numerous educational, technical, and professional advantages of IEEE membership through special projects, activities, paper and project contests, meetings, conferences, tours and field trips. An active student branch may acquire free access to selected IEEE printed publications and opportunities for proposal funding by IEEE.

The GUC-IEEE Student Branch aims to extend the academic and practical engineering knowledge and experience among the GUC students and staff of engineering faculties through the aforementioned means.
