2007…A Year of Achievements

With every year that passes by, the GUC achieves more and more on all the levels. VIP visits, new buildings, educational seminars, new projects, cultural and entertaining events and co-operations fill the GUC calendar and add more to the yearly progress and achievements.

Everyone starts to think of new years resolutions a few days before the New Years Eve. However, not everyone waits till January the first. In fact this past year, the GUC recorded hundreds of events, ranging from big ones to small ones, and every day that passed by, was a new resolution day.

Mentioning the accomplishments of 2007, we have to highlight the German Egyptian Year of Science which was a bilateral initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Its objective was not only to deepen scientific cooperation between Egypt and Germany, but also to promote intercultural dialogue. This joint year was primarily visible to the public and scientific communities through a number of events spread across the whole year. A number of these high publicity events took place at the GUC premises.

Hereby, are only a few mentioned events that we need to remember, as well as give a big hand to everyone who worked hard to make these events come to life.
