Scorpions:

A Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band formed in the late 1960s. Their first album was Lonesome Crow which was released in 1971. Scorpions were ranked as Europe’s no.1Rock band and they are considered as one of the most successful bands in Rock’n Roll history with their smash hits “Rock you like a hurricane”, “Wind of Change”, and “Still loving you”. The band sold over 75 million records worldwide and they’re still performing. Scorpions made a Middle Eastern tour in 2005 which included a live concert in Egypt by the Pyramids.

Hildegard von Bingen AKA “St. Hildegard”(1098-1179):

A remarkable woman who was the first composer with a known biography. She was not only a composer, she was a remarkable figure in many fields such as literature, philosophy, herbal medicine and religion in a time when few women attained respect. One of her famous composition was Ordo Virtutum or “The Ritual of Virtues”, a religious moral drama which was considered the first form and the origin of the Opera. Although Hildegard didn’t receive any formal musical education, she wrote 77 chants.

Johann Sebastian Bach: (1685-1750)

One of the most influencing musicians in the German musical history and in the Western tradition. Bach who was an organist and a composer for solo instruments, Orchestral, and Choir works brought the Baroque style to a new vision and enriched the German music with new forms from abroad, particularly from Italy and France. Bach contributed to many musical compositions such as the Brandenburg concertos which consisted of 6 concerts and was regarded among the finest musical pieces of the Baroque era.

Ludwig van Beethoven: (1770-1827)

Probably the most important musical figure in the transitional period between the Classical and the Romantic eras in the Western music. Beethoven was a pianist and a composer whose was considered one of the most famous and influential musicians of all time. Beethoven moved to Vienna in his early twenties and studied for a while with Joseph Haydn, a well-known Austrian composer, there he composed most of his pieces. Beethoven started to lose his hearing in his late twenties, and in spite of his total deafness afterwards, he composed his famous 9th Symphony, his last one which brought him more fame.

DJ Paul van Dyk: (1971)

As a DJ, keyboardist, and producer, Paul van Dyk is ranked among the best known electronic music DJs worldwide. He first appeared in Berlin’s Tresor club in 1991, later he set up his own E –Werk club and debuted his first “Visions of Shiva” which was recorded along with Cosmic Baby. Paul van Dyk doesn’t consider his music to be Techno, Trance, or House music, but generally electronic music, that’s why he is well known with his mixings which are usually a blend of the three. He performed and still performing in many major dance clubs and dance events all over the world such as Sensation White, the world’s leading dance event.
